Community Grants: How to apply

Our Community Grant Scheme will open for applications on Monday the 23rd of March and close on Sunday the 26th of April.

What to know before you apply

Open to local groups and organisations, the scheme supports projects that create positive social impact. The Edinburgh Medical School is celebrating its 300th birthday so we are particularly encouraging applications for projects that address health and wellbeing. We will, however, still consider all applications that fall within the scheme's aims. 

  • £5,000 is the most you can apply for. We also welcome applications for less.
  • Your project needs to be in Edinburgh, Fife, the Lothians or the Borders.
  • One grant per project. We do not fund projects that have already been completed.
  • Aim to start your project around four months after the deadline.

All-year funding for smaller projects

Our micro-grant scheme is open all year round for funding applications of up to £500.

Apply for a micro-grant
