Study options Come along to one of our Open Days to see if you would like to enrol for degree-level study in the arts, humanities, social sciences, engineering, science, medicine and veterinary medicine. Open Days Widening Participation Some pupils are eligible for extra support from us in trying to work out what they would like to study and how to apply. For these pupils, and their schools, we offer opportunities to try out different pathways, to get a taste of university life, and to help with specialist placements which will strengthen their application. These opportunities are open to pupils from primary school through to secondary school. We also offer similar opportunities to adults who do not have a degree but are considering returning to learning after a break. A new Access course and help with your application are available. If you do choose to study with us, and are accepted, we may be able to provide not only academic support to further your studies but also financial support in the form of a scholarship or bursary. What is Widening Participation? Financial Support If you are a first degree student and resident in Scotland, you'll usually be eligible to have your tuition fees covered by the Scottish Government. You can also apply for bursaries to cover your living costs while at university. Some postgraduate degrees can be studied part-time online so that you can fit them round work and family commitments.
