Projects funded in round six of the Community Grants Scheme. Image Amina Muslim Women's Resource Centre Click + Connect! Family Video-Learning (Speech Language Communication Company) A project developing video learning materials to aid language development in children with speech, language and communication needs. Collaborating with Edinburgh parents and the University of Edinburgh, SLCo will devise a programme of video-learning materials and parents’ personal stories, and evaluate their reception, use and impact. Craigmillar Now & Then (Craigmillar Now) This project will begin the development of a publicly accessible archive dedicated to Craigmillar - compiling, preserving and celebrating the area’s pioneering history and creating a resource that is locally led and nationally significant. Digital buddies (Edinburgh Old Town Development Trust) This project aims to increase people's digital literacy in the Old Town of Edinburgh, reducing isolation and loneliness by connecting local students and other volunteers with residents in the Old Town. The organisation will host weekly digital learning cafes, develop easy how-to-guides, and support 1:1 digital learning relationships. Geoscience Summer Programme (SCORE Scotland) The Geoscience Summer programme is for children, young people and their families living in South West Edinburgh. The programme consists of four weeks of Geoscience activities focused on the Earth and humans interaction with it, paying a particular focus on climate change, plastic pollution and waste/recycling. Strengthening digital voices (Amina) A project providing Muslim and Black, minority ethnic (BME) women opportunities to progress their basic digital literacy skills, building their confidence and improving mental health. Project participants will co-develop their digital and language journey’s, have increased access to virtual and physical spaces and make connections with their peers.
