Community benefit in action

We have been working with Balfour Beatty to make sure our local communities benefit from the large projects ongoing across the city.

Community benefit in action

Balfour Beatty, partners in the Edinburgh Futures Institute, IRR Expansion, and BioQuarter Infrastructure projects, have been exploring how to make meaningful and measurable change through their projects.

By leaning on the expertise of the University’s own Community Team, they were able to donate 40 surplus PC monitors from Balfour Beatty’s old offices to local charities and organisations across Edinburgh. Many of the organisations have been on the front line in helping deliver food through the lockdown, such as Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre and The Venchie.
