Hundreds of students and staff across the University have registered to take part in Sleep in the Park on 8 December. The University of Edinburgh has contributed to a donation fund which is giving away 2,000 free places for students and staff to support the cause.

Sleep in the Park is a nationwide sleep out to end homelessness in Scotland, organised by Social Bite.

Members of the public can still sign up to help support efforts to end homelessness in Scotland. We'd love you to join us and hundreds of others at this great event on 9 December!

Centre for Homeless and Inclusion Health

The sleep out is only one element of the wider work we are doing in the University - in collaboration with the local community and supporting agencies - to tackle the root causes of homelessness, to ensure that no one should ever have to sleep rough, and to promote social justice. This is being taken forward as part of our Social Impact Pledge in which we committed to developing the Centre for Homeless and Inclusion Health, a centre for excellence in health care delivery, learning, research and multi-disciplinary working for, and with, homeless people in Edinburgh.
